Emmy Award-winning producer Mike O’Rourke has been delivering high-quality motion picture content since 1994. He got his big break in Senior Sosnowski’s Spanish class at Providence Catholic High School, where a wildly successful Spanish language parody of SNL’s ‘Wayne’s World’ (‘Mundo de Juan’)- launched his career. This first video project opened studio doors at Loras College where O’Rourke majored in Media Studies/TV Production and Journalism under the watchful eye of Craig Schaefer.
Before launching Michael O’Rourke Productions, Mike spent six years working as staff producer/director/writer for several of Chicago’s top production companies. M.O.P is a low-overhead creative shop specializing in writing, directing, and producing for TV spots, documentaries, corporate image videos, training films, event roll-ins, broadcast TV segments, and music videos.
While the creative/project management side of the business is our core specialty, we also have strategic partnerships with camera crews, gaffers, sound stages, teleprompter ops, post-houses, graphic artists, and talent agencies.
